Vincent had Election Day off from school - having stayed up late to watch the Clintons with us the night before - even though he had final exams starting Thursday morning - he got to go to see an anime movie playing just two notes with a violent sounding title: "Death Note." Originally a manga (Japanese comic book), then an anime (Japanese animation) TV series - much of which Vincent has apparently seen - the movie has recently come out in Japan in a live-action version. The story involves a book - If you write someone's name in the book, they die. Although the drive home did not go well, Vincent seemed to like the movie. His only complaint: it was dubbed into English and he's looking for a sequel. Although the movie rushed through the plots of half a year of TV shows, it stopped half way through the TV show's story line.
