Snow emergency

Up to 12 inches of snow in Kentuckiana have created a snow emergency in Jefferson County and most surrounding counties. A college we were to visit with our son canceled its junior preview day and we have canceled two Saturday church events. This may be the most snow in Louisville since 1968 or earlier. Stephanie's Mongolian student, who has been skeptical about the numerous small snows here this winter, may finally be impressed. Already, however, classes at Stephanie's school will extend not only past Memorial Day but also into June. We can't go sledding because the sledding hills are too far to walk and there's no way we can get any of our cars down the street.
