Easter Sunday

Vincent joined us at church but went with Jessi and Douglas to help in the nursery. He missed a last chance with other high school seniors (plus other youth and Children's Fellowship kids) to sing "He's Alive!" at Easter. Later on the 16 people who joined the church last Sunday with the session went through this again with whole church (with the presbytery executive watching and with one of them, Ryan, undergoing an adult baptism) (although the sound system briefly malfunctioned again - this time with all of these new members, lots of visitors, and the exec there).

Saturday afternoon Stephanie and Vincent went shopping - partly for Easter clothes. Here are Stephanie and Vincent in their new outfits, (and eventually Frisco and me) with our Louisville-style azalea plant, blooming, in the background.

Stephanie decorated (without actually painting them) hard boiled eggs and we had them for snack.

After Frisco, Stephanie, and I went for a walk, Stephanie snapped this picture of a tulip, which she had planted back last fall.

For Easter dinner, Stephanie had made ropa vieja, old clothes - shredded beef, Cuban style - yummy!
