On what was to be my next to the last day at work for a while, we celebrated the birthday or our new colleague, Becki, with whom I had exchanged "Idol" infomation occasionally. Becki started just a few weeks ago, and a couple of days before I come back, two more new people - both officially with us only up to three years, in connection with the Lilly Endowment grant our project received. I'll miss the parties for two very recently hired new people, Joelle and Lauren, but I'll be around to help lead/supply the mid-July birthday celebration for my colleague Ida, our former turtle sitter. Happy Birthday, Becki!
