Money, Money, Money

We finally heard from Vincent today. He is using the e-mail of his host family and I must have missed the e-mail yesterday since I didn't recognize the sender. He tried to use his debit card in Denmark but it doesn't seem to be working. We've called National City Bank and e-mailed Danske Bank and Roskilde Bank (I don't speak Danish...except to tell people they have "girly hair" or to "shut up"). It seems that Vincent has to use a Star or Plus ATM but we haven't had luck seeing if that works. Star doesn't seem to be in Denmark according to their website. As it stands right now Vincent has been borrowing money from his teacher, Carrie, who doesn't seem to be having problems with her card. Ironically 11 months ago in July of 2007 Vincent used his debit/money card in Guatemala with no problems. Hmm...maybe third world countries have something on them Europeans. We're still trying to work it all out. Maybe those Western Union commercials are true...Mom, I love you, send money!
