Saturday night Stephanie and I watched the Keri Russell-Adrienne Shelly movie “Waitress,” for the second time, as part of a pie night at our friend Sarah’s recently decorated apartment (pictured to the right). Vincent and we enjoyed a shepherd’s pie, a chocolate cream pie, and an apple kuchen. The movie includes incredible pie recipes, laughs, extramarital affairs, and a couple of sobering scenes of domestic conflict that struck a little to close to home for Stephanie. (The movie is also sobering because writer, director, and co-star Adrienne Shelly (pictured with Cheryl Hines and Keri Russell above) was brutally murdered before the movie was released last year.) (We also talked a little about the pregnant man with Sarah, who was a little confused by it all.)
