Doner, done, and not really done

Last week, as she contemplated leaving for Florida, Stephanie continued to work hard to strip the multiple layers of wallpaper and paint off the wall in our dining room. Wednesday the wallpaper stripping continued to drag. Stephanie’s arms, hands, and back hurt. Friday she pushed herself to finish the wall, and did so. She thought about also trying to strip the border off the wall around the rest of the dining room, but found that it too is double-coated with wallpaper with paint in between. She’ll have to finish that when she gets back (then paint). After several days of not doing this, after quitting every day most of the week she was busy picking and vacuuming up much of the debris her work had created – strips of wallpaper, dust, etc. Before Vincent got home at the end of the month, I dusted and vacuumed much of the house, but I will need to do all of that again at some point after Stephanie finishes with the border (and painting?) maybe after the sociology meetings in Boston where I will make a presentation.
